DISCLAIMER:
• During the First Session, the procedure does not start until you have agreed on the shape that is right for your facial features. We will design the shape based on your bone structure and your desired brows shape and/or lips. Please make sure you are 100% satisfied with the shape and with the technique you have chosen before the procedure begins.
We will be asking you for your approval once the shape design is completed. After the procedure you will have one last chance to make sure you like the results and are to ask for the last minor adjustments. Once we have carried out the services and you have left the appointment there is nothing, we can do to fix your eyebrows or lips until you come back for another session.
• A second session is called “First Touch-up” which is necessary between 6-8 weeks after your first session to ensure the desired result. The cost of the second session will be determined by the timeframe of your return. Please review the website for more details. It is your responsibility to book this with enough notice within the timeframe.
• Client satisfaction is our priority, but please be aware that the result of the procedure depends on the following: medications and health conditions, skin conditions such as oily, unhealthy, dry/flaky, loose and/or lax skin, using Retin-A, sun exposure, poor diet and not following the aftercare instructions. All these things can affect your healed results. Antacids, thyroid, and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with permanent makeup either by affecting retention or shifting the pigment to an undesirable tone. With that information, an educated client may have better expectations and know that they may need more frequent adjustments than others. The better you take care of your skin and protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the permanent cosmetic procedures. Once the service has been carried out, there will be no refund.
• If you have a serious medical condition you must come with a doctor’s note stating the condition and the clearance to proceed with Permanent Makeup. Daisys Dash of Beauty will not be held accountable for any unforeseen situations during your session.
****Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, excessive swelling, excessive tenderness at the site, red streaks going for the procedure site towards the heart, and/or green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.
• Everyone is different and can respond to topical numbing and pigment ink differently. How much you bleed will affect the outcome result and therefore require additional appointments to achieve the desired result.
• Healed results will vary between each individual client based on skin type and condition, bone structure, health, immune system, metabolism, lifestyle and the amount of existing hair.
• This is a “Low” maintenance treatment not a “No” maintenance treatment. Using a pencil or powder for Brows and lip gloss for Lips may still be needed. Fading, blurring or poor retention can still occur.
• Touch Ups are recommended for optimal results and are charged accordingly by sessions and timeframes, not by the amount of work.
• If you arrive with any of the contraindications or have problematic skin around the procedure area (pimples, blemishes, irritated skin, sunburn) you will forfeit your deposit because we cannot proceed with the treatment.
• Please let us know if you are allergic to latex
• We reserve the right to refuse any service or fire a client at any given time.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Pre-Care is just as important as aftercare, and failing to do so will affect the healing process.

**BROWS**
4 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE:

Avoid Glycolic acid, chemical peels and laser treatment on the face
Avoid Retinol and Retin-A
2 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE:
No waxing or tinting
Do not use Exfoliants
No sunburn on the face or extensive sun exposure
1 WEEK BEFORE PROCEDURE:

Avoid fish oils, DHA supplements, cayenne supplements, turmeric, vitamin e, niacin
(or anything that can cause blood thinning)
***If any of the above are taken for medical purposes, PLEASE CONSULT WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN. Your health is more important.
1-3 DAYS BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE:
Avoid alcohol (especially red wine)
Avoid coffee or tea (1/2 cup is ok, drink decaffeinated) or excessive amounts of Caffeine, energy drinks
Avoid marijuana and smoking
All this will cause bleeding and blood pushes pigment out therefore will lead to poor retention during the healing process
DAY OF PROCEDURE:
Avoid intense physical activity (light yoga and walking are ok)
You can wear your makeup to your appointment so I can see the shape and shade.

**LIP BLUSH**
4 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE:

Avoid Glycolic acid, chemical peels, and laser treatments on the face
Avoid Retinol and Retin-A
2 WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE:
Avoid all facials, bleaching treatments, or waxing around the lip area
Avoid extensive sun exposure and sunburn on the face
1 WEEK BEFORE PROCEDURE:

1-3 DAYS BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE:
Avoid alcohol (especially red wine)
Avoid coffee or tea (1/2 cup is ok, drink decaffeinated) or excessive amounts of caffeine and energy drinks.
****EXFOLIATION & HYDRATION****
1 Week prior to your procedure, begin gently exfoliating your lips 2x/day. You could make a natural exfoliant by mixing 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of coconut oil mixture or you can purchase a lip scrub, both work effectively to remove dry, dead skin.
Follow with a hydrating lip balm every day to keep your lips soft and moisturized.
24 hours before scheduled appointment apply Vaseline or Aquaphor to deeply condition the lips.
Stay hydrated! Dry lips are often the first sign of dehydration, so drink plenty of water the week before your appointment.
This allows the pigment to go into the skin easily and evenly for a better color retention, as well as the numbing cream to be effective.
DAY OF PROCEDURE:
Avoid intense physical activity (light yoga and walking are ok)
You can wear your normal makeup on the day of your procedure
It's encouraged to bring your favorite lipsticks and/or lip liners with you to your appointment or photos of lip shapes and colors you prefer
****If you have ever had a cold sore, been prone to any type of cold sores (herpes simplex virus) or you may have the herpes simplex virus that lies dormant in your system, this procedure could cause an outbreak.
It is best to consult with your doctor and upon your doctor’s recommendation, take doctor-prescribed medication such as Acyclovir, Zovirax, or Valtrex 3 Days before and 3 Days after the lip procedure to help prevent or lessen the severity of an outbreak.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Immediately following your procedure, the area will appear darker and bolder in color and sharpness. This will last for 3-4 days.
Do not panic! It is completely normal.
Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients, and will disappear within 24-48 hours. In some cases, it may last around the eyebrow area for up to 3 days, but will not prevent working or socializing. The treated area may feel a bit like a sunburn afterwards but there should only be minimal discomfort.
The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the procedure is evident. During this process, your permanent makeup will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only after 6 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done.
Please note that final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. The Nano brow hair strokes tend to have a more crisp look once healed on dry skin compared to more blurry strokes on oily skin. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment and make any changes necessary.
Healed results will vary with each individual client and using a pencil or powder may still be needed. Additional sessions (charged accordingly) may be required to obtain optimal results.

***PMU AFTERCARE***
DAY OF PROCEDURE: *Absorb*
Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5-10 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
Days 1-7: *Wash*
Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. (Don't worry...THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash the procedure area each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap (Cetaphil or Neutrogena).
With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the affected area. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue.
DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.
Days 1-7: *Moisturize*
Apply a pea size amount of aftercare ointment using a clean cotton swab and gently spread it across the treated area.
Do not over-apply, this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.
Never apply ointment to a damp or wet area, make sure the skin is completely dry first.
**Important Reminders**
__________________
* Use a fresh pillowcase
* Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color
* No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
* Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
* Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.
* Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 10 days.
* Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
* Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days
* Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area
* DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.
Remember, following the proper prep and aftercare routine significantly improves the outcome of your procedure.
**Important note about showering:
Limit your showers so you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face, or procedure area, should only be getting wet at the very last end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
